2019-2020 Connections Committee

Committee Purpose/Mission 

Connecting employers to colleges. Coordinates and facilitates the summer Professional Exchange program including securing employer hosts for site visits and marketing registration of the events to career service professionals. Coordinates and facilitates the Road Trips to the Real World program. This program occurs during the January break and offers on-site employer visits for students of EACE member institutions in order to provide career information, networking and the exploration of job/internship opportunities.


Composition 

3-4 Co-Chairs, 18 committee members selected by co-chairs by August 14

  • One member diversity and inclusion (D&I) focused for the whole committee ensuring that D&I voices and concerns are heard and considered

  • Co-chairs should make every effort to include at least 1 employer member and 1 new member (joined within the past 2 years) in the committee

  • Committee member solicitation should take place between June 1 and August 1

  • Co-chairs are responsible for ensuring volunteers are active members of EACE by checking the directory.

Requirements of the Committee

  • Hold monthly meetings, work toward goals, report to board

  • Work collaboratively with the PR and Marketing Committee and HQ to promote programs

  • Arrange 10-20 site visits per program (quality over quantity)

  • Committee members manage site visits registrations and attend assigned site visits

  • Serve as a liaison to the employer hosts

  • Review committee webpages to ensure accuracy throughout the year
