EACE Universal Design Format
EACE promotes a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion where all are respected, accepted, and safe. It is within this spirit we ask that presenters to follow these guidelines:
Presentations should be given using the EACE PowerPoint Template .
Do not use animations for text.
Use colors with a high contrast. Black or dark blue text color on a white background.
Use a Sans-Serif font (Arial, Calibri, Verdana)
Font size should be a minimum of 18 pt or greater.
Text should not overlap with pictures or background images.
When utilizing a video, make sure the video is captioned.
Utilize words and phrases that do not indicate gender bias.
Avoid the use descriptors of gender identity or sexual orientation as modifiers, not as nouns
Avoid guessing sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
Promote the use of language that recognizes varying abilities.
Use language that captures diverse global contexts.
