EACE Webinar: Unpacking Professionalism

"Professionalism" has defined, upset, and transformed workplaces, mindsets, and careers since its inception in the late 19th and early 20th century. A concept, a way of conducting oneself, a set of rules, a set of preconceived notions - these facets of professionalism impact all of us, in one way or another. In this session, participants will engage in conversation and community around the concept of "Professionalism." This session will unpack the negative implications of the term and ways in which career development personnel and employers can support emerging employee talent in this area. 

Presenter

Ang Richard (she/her/hers) is an Assistant Director of Career Education at Boston University's Center for Career Development. As a Gen Z, first-gen student and professional, Ang is passionate about empowering early career professionals to thrive in the world of work. She is a LinkedIn Community Top Voice in Career Counseling & Resume Writing, and she strives to foster a sense of belonging wherever she goes. She is also a course facilitator in the Wheelock College of Education and Human Development at Boston University, as well as an active EACE, NACE, CCC, AERA, and ACPA member.
