Morning Energizer Activities

Tuesday, June 25 | 6:30 - 7:30 AM

Option #1: Hartford River Walk

The full walk including crossing the Founder's Bridge is approximately 3.3 miles. The shortened walk is approximately 2.3 miles. Please be sure to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed. Participants should meet in the Marriott lobby at 6:30 AM and bring a water bottle.

Join fellow attendees for a scenic walk from Marriott to Mortensen Riverfront Plaza. Walkers can check out the stage front where lots of summer concerts take place. The walk continues on Founders Bridge Walkway, with amazing photo opportunities in the middle of the River. There are large enough spaces here that we could consider taking a group photo, with the Hartford skyline in the background.

Walk back across the bridge and proceed on the Sculpture Walk. The sculpture walk, which was completed in 2011, is inspired by the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln. You can learn more about it, including an app to hear a walking tour of all 16 sculptures: http://www.riverfront.org/parks/art-in-parks. Walkers should bring headphones should you want to listen to the walking tour.

For those who would like, we can continue all the way to the boathouse at Riverside Park. For those looking for a smaller loop, someone will lead a group back to the hotel from the Bulkeley Bridge, which cuts about a mile off the overall walk.


Option #2: Yoga with Gerald

Find your conference balance! Come join us for morning Yoga with EACE’s own Gerald Tang. This practice will be for yogi’s of all levels. Don’t forget to bring your yoga mat! 

Meet near the Hospitality Suite in the Riverside Hallway.
