Director, Diversity & Inclusion (2-year term)

Description

Director, Diversity and Inclusion is responsible for promoting and amplifying Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts throughout EACE, and ensuring that educational, training and leadership programs are offered to the extent possible to enhance diverse representation. The Director shall perform other duties as assigned by the President or the Board of Directors. The Director shall serve as a liaison to assigned committees. Director, Diversity and Inclusion should have a proven commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, not just within EACE, but within other communities such as their place of employment and civic engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee affinity groups, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, or other task forces as necessary.  
  • Design and oversee D&I focused programming such as workshops, webinars, and conference programming to educate and engage members 
  • Design and implement strategies to integrate D&I principles into yearly goals and programming 
  • Collaborate with board to ensure D&I is embedded across all functions of the organization 
  • Advocate for and implement equitable practices throughout the organization, identifying and addressing systemic issues and inequities. Act as a vocal and proactive leader in recognizing and challenging inequitable policies, behaviors, and/or structures.  
  • Review new policies and activities to ensure that D&I is represented.
