1. Describe your interest in serving on the EACE Board in this capacity.
It would be a great honor to serve on the Board for a second term, and I anticipate that the experience will be vastly different from my first, as much of my previous term was virtual. My goal is to help the organization adopt a holistic, growth-oriented approach to all initiatives. Effective communication from the PR committee is essential to connecting all of EACE's members. I am committed to increasing awareness of the full range of resources EACE offers so that every member feels supported in their professional development.
2. What skills and experiences do you possess that have prepared you to be successful in this role?
Over the past 9 years, I have served in EACE as the Director of Membership Recruitment and Retention, Conference Co-chair and Membership Co-Chair twice. My experience has provided me with a deep understanding of the diverse initiatives within the organization. I excel at taking initiative, delegating tasks within a team, and driving projects forward. As a volunteer-driven organization, I believe leading with empathy is crucial to inspiring others and ensuring that each member feels valued while fostering their growth as future leaders within EACE.
3. What ideas and/or goals do you have for this position?
Through my experience with EACE, I’ve witnessed how the PR committee plays a crucial role in connecting with all other committees to raise awareness of events, benefits, and projects both internally and externally. Over the past four years, Narali has developed excellent systems to streamline these processes. I am committed to building on her work over the next two years, ensuring that these efforts continue to evolve and strengthen communication across the organization. My goal is to break down silos between committees, fostering greater collaboration, as many of EACE’s incredible initiatives would benefit from more cross-committee teamwork.
