Resume Writing and Applying for Federal Jobs

Wednesday, March 6, 2024
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM ET

The mission of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is "to fulfill President Lincoln’s promise to care for those who have served in our nation’s military and for their families, caregivers, and survivors." Within VA, the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) is one of three Administrations. The VBA helps service members transition out of military service, and assists Veterans with education, home loans, life insurance and much more. The VBA provides benefits and services to Veterans and their families in a responsive, timely and compassionate manner in recognition of their service to the Nation. The VBA's goal is to attract, develop, and retain passionate, high-performing employees who are interested in making a difference, while providing generations of Veterans — and their survivors — with the care and benefits they deserve. The National Recruitment Team (NRT) is committed to branding the VBA as an employer of choice by engaging talent pools representing all segments of society.

This presentation will cover requirements of a federal resume, job announcements in and USA jobs, and where to find online resources related to federal jobs.
