How are we addressing the perception that career integration might 'vocationalize' the curriculum, and how do we frame our work so it’s seen as protecting the value of a degree rather than diluting it?

How do we handle the 'Shadow Career Centers'—the faculty members who bypass us entirely to place students via their own private networks?

Are we hiring 'Generalist Counselors' or 'Departmental Liaisons,' and does that person speak the specific academic 'language' of the faculty they serve?

For those with a Faculty Fellows or Champion program, how do you balance their role between promoting our current services and actually collaborating on curriculum shifts to embed career outcomes directly into their courses?

Join us for a virtual gathering designed to connect, support, and empower Chief Career Services Officers. We will survey the group to see what topics are most pressing and will seek to discuss those topics in our meetings or bring in guest speakers that can provide insight on the relevant topics. We look forward to seeing you there!
