Extending Beyond a Committee: Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as an Entire Career Center Team

Monday, May 9, 2022 | 1:00 - 2:00 PM ET

Throughout the past two challenging years, the UConn Center for Career Development has turned a critical eye towards our previous and current DE&I efforts. In summer 2020, we began a revamp of our internal DE&I Committee, which ended up incorporating our entire team. Many of the efforts initiated by this revamp are still going strong, such as our DE&I Town Halls, DE&I-focused coaching case studies, and data collection efforts to hear from students who belong to various affinity communities. We are now at a point where every member of our team has multiple unique roles that allow them to contribute to one or more DE&I-focused projects. Join us as we share what some of those roles are and how they have evolved over the past two years. We hope attendees will take away some ideas for how to incorporate their entire team in DE&I efforts.
