Will COVID-19 affect the dates of the 2021 Annual Conference?

EACE is committed to the health and safety of all event attendees along with the reassurance of a flexible cancellation policy. Find out more about EACE's COVID-19 policies and procedures. If there are any changes to EACE's event schedules, we will provide information about virtual options that may be available and/or other specific details.

What is the COVID-19 cancellation policy for EACE21?

Registration cancellation: EACE is extending a worry-free registration policy for EACE21. If you need to cancel your EACE21 registration for any reason up to 10 business days in advance, you’ll receive a 100% refund. If the event is cancelled by EACE, registrants will be extended a 100% refund. Click here to view the full cancellation policy. 

Hotel cancellation: You must ontact the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa at 1-609-317-1000 to cancel your hotel reservation. All cancellations less than 72 hours before your scheduled arrival time will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to the first night's room + tax.

What is the mask policy for the conference? 

  • All conference attendees must wear a mask or face covering while inside the Borgata property and not actively eating and/or drinking except when d going so would inhibit the individual's health, or where the individual is under two years of age.

What safety protocols are the Borgata employees required to follow?

  • Employees are subject to screening questions, temperature checks and training programs on health and safety protocols.
  • Employees are required to wear a mask in public areas.
  • Gloves will be worn by employees who require them to do their jobs. Guestroom Attendants will wear masks and gloves while cleaning each room and will change gloves between guestrooms.

Will social distancing be enforced in the meeting rooms?

Event and meeting rooms will have a spaced-out setting in accordance with social distancing standards.

Can I transfer the promo code to my co-presenter?

Yes, you can transfer the 50% off registration to your co-presenter. If you elect to do this, please contact EACE Headquarters at [email protected] You may not transfer the 50% off registration code to anyone other than a co-presenter.

When will I find out if my proposal was accepted?

You will be notified regarding the status of your proposal by the end of February 2021.

When will I find out the location and date of my session?

Presenters will be assigned a date and time based on the EACE21 schedule. Any scheduling conflicts must be indicated on the presenter confirmation form. Scheduling requests after April 1, 2021 are not guaranteed. You will be notified by the Programming Committee by May 1, 2021 with the location and date of your session. All questions can be directed to the Annual Conference Programming Committee Co-Chairs

What do I need to bring for my presentation? 

Presenters will be provided with the internet, a projector and cable at the conference in your assigned break-out room. You are required to bring your own laptops, chargers, and adapters (if applicable). Adapters are typically only needed for Mac devices. Laptops will not be provided on-site.

Do I need to follow any guidelines for my presentation? 

As part of Diversity & Inclusion initiatives for EACE21, presenters will be required to prepare and present slides in a universal design format that focuses on respecting diversity and creating a culture of inclusion. Click here to view the Universal Design Format guidelines and template.

Does EACE print copies of my handouts to distribute?

EACE does not print copies of break-out session handouts or presentations. You can expect to be contacted closer to the event with instructions on how to upload presentations and/or handouts to the conference mobile app.

What if I have changes to my presentation proposal?

Any changes to your proposal should be indicated on the presenter confirmation form. Any major changes, such as a topic change, will need to be approved by the 2021 Annual Conference Programming Committee Co-Chairs.

What comes with my registration?

Full conference registrants have access to all sessions and events (excluding the Pre-Conference Workshop, which is optional and has a separate fee.) The following food and beverages are also included:

  • Wednesday lunch
  • Light hors d’oeuvres and drinks for Wednesday's Welcome Reception
  • Thursday breakfast
  • Thursday Awards Luncheon
  • Thursday Entertainment Night drinks
  • Friday brunch

Where do I pick up my registration materials?

You will need to pick up your name badge along with conference materials when you arrive at the convention center. The EACE Annual Conference registration and activities desk location is TBD. Remember to wear your name badge at all times, as it serves as entry to all conference functions, including social functions. The registration desk will be open during the following hours:

  • Wednesday, August 4: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Thursday, August 5: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Friday, August 6: 8:00 am - 9:00 am

What do I do if I need to cancel?

All cancellation requests must be emailed to [email protected].

  • A 100% refund will be granted when the cancellation request is received 10 business days prior to the scheduled event (by July 21, 2020).
  • 50% refund will be granted if the request is received between 9 and 5 business days prior to the scheduled event (from July 22 to July 28, 2020).
  • No refunds will be granted if the request is received fewer than 5 days prior to the scheduled event (after July 30, 2020).
  • If the event is cancelled by EACE, registrants may be extended a full refund (100%).

Any cancellation request received fewer than 10 business days prior to a scheduled event (or after the event date has passed) due to an extenuating circumstance may be reviewed by the respective committee chair(s) who in turn will recommend the appropriate refund and action to the Board of Directors.

You may also consider transferring the registration to someone else in your organization. See below for instructions.

Can I transfer my registration if I can no longer attend?

Yes! You may transfer your registration to someone else in your organization. There is no fee for equal transfers. If you are transferring to a non-member, you will be invoiced for the difference in member vs non-member pricing. The request must be made via email to [email protected] and include the following information:

  • Name
  • Job Title
  • Email
  • Phone
  • First time attending EACE Annual Conference? Y / N
  • Any dietary needs / physical accommodations required

I am a member of NACE. Does that mean I receive member pricing for EACE? 

No. EACE is independent and autonomous from the national association.

Is there a deadline to book my hotel room at the group rate? Where do I make the reservation?

The deadline to book your hotel room at the discounted group rate of $159 per night (plus taxes/fees) is July 12, 2021. It is highly likely that the group room block will sell out prior to the deadline, therefore, it is recommended to book your room early.

Can I receive the discounted room rate for dates before and/or after the conference?

Yes. The discounted room rate of $159 (plus taxes/fees) is available to EACE attendees from August 2-8, 2021, so consider extending your stay to enjoy the beach and all the resort has to offer!  Come early to do some sightseeing! The group rate deadline is July 12, 2021 and is subject to availability.

Does the hotel provide transportation to/from the airport?

No, the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa does not provide transportation. Taxi services and train services are available from the Atlantic City Airport. Fare starts from $36 USD for taxi/Uber and $13 USD for the train. For more information click here.

What are the driving directions to the hotel? What are the parking fees?

The Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa is located at 1 Borgata Way, Atlantic City, NJ 08401. 

The self-parking fee is $5 each time you enter the garage. Valet Parking is not available at this time.

How do I get an attendee list?

Approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the event, you can expect to receive an email entitled "Tips For Your Trip." This email will contain the attendee list including name, organization, city, state, and email in PDF format. EACE does not distribute attendee lists in excel format. Attendee lists are not distributed by request.

Additionally, EACE members have access to the attendee list which updates in real-time! If you are a current member AND logged into the website, you can access the attendee list from the EACE21 main menu.

When will break-out session information be available?

Break-out Session information should be available on the EACE21 schedule in April 1, 2021.

Will I receive a printed conference program?

Due to the popularity of the EACE Annual Conference app, the Association does not provide printed copies of the schedule. The interactive schedule, presentation handouts, speaker bios, transportation information and more is easily accessible from your mobile device! If you prefer a printed copy, please print out the schedule to bring with you.

What is the conference attire?

Business casual is suitable for all conference activities. Social functions are casual. It is recommended to dress in layers as meeting rooms can get chilly.

Do I receive continuing education credits for attending?

Many conference sessions may offer credit through SHRM and/or HRCI for attending. Sessions offering credit will be noted on the schedule.

Will there be free WiFi at the conference?

Yes. WiFi information will be posted at the EACE Registration Desk.

Can I bring my spouse/children?

Although attendees may bring family members to the hotel, only paid registrants wearing conference name badges will be permitted to attend conference events and food/social functions.
