Honorary members are exempt from the payment of membership dues. Honorary members have all rights of College, Employer, and Associate members, but may not hold office.
To be considered for Honorary Member status, a minimum of 5,000 points must be earned using the following point system:
i. Board Member- 500 every role
ii. Annual Conference Chair/Co-Chair- 500 every role
iii. Committee/Task Force Chair/Co-Chair- 400 every role
iv. Committee/Task Force member- 200 points
v. Presenter (effective 7/1/01) 200 points
Eligibility for Honorary membership is granted by two-thirds vote of the Board of Directors to individuals who have contributed to the field of career services and/or HR/staffing professionals, have met the minimum criteria established by the Board of Directors for Honorary Membership, and who are no longer eligible for College, Employer, or Associate membership. (An Honorary member who subsequently becomes eligible for College, Employer, or Associate membership must, in order to resume that membership, temporarily relinquish Honorary membership.)
