2014 EACE Bylaws Amendments - Membership 30 Day Notice

The EACE Board of Directors has approved changes that affect our Bylaws. These changes are both in line with our 2013-2014 Board goals, and our mission to streamline processes for our volunteers and administrative headquarters. This webpage serves as a mandatory 30-day notice, allowing the membership an opportunity to ask questions and follow up as needed. You will have an opportunity to vote on these items later this Spring.

In summary, the changes outline the following:
1. Removal of the Consulting Committee from the list of EACE active committees.
2. Moving the Professional Exchange committee under the direction of board liaison Director, College Member Services.
3. Replacing the word "Institutional" (representing a former membership category) with the updated word "Group."

Please review the EACE Bylaws Amendments that require a membership vote stated below.

1. Consulting Committee

Bylaws: Article 8, Section 2: Remove the word Consulting.

2. Changing Professional Exchange Committee from Director of Professional Development to Director, College Member Services

3. Changes to any Institutional Membership mentions - incorporating Group Membership throughout.

Bylaws: Article 4: Membership: Section 1

Section 1. Membership in this Association shall consist of College members, Employer members, Associate members, Honorary members, Retired members, and Student members. Membership may be either individual or institutional. Each educational institution, employer or associate organization may have one or more individual and/or institutional memberships. For each institutional membership, one member as identified by that institution/organization shall be designated as the principal member. Members from the same office/geographical location shall be designated as additional members. If membership is paid by the institution, the membership remains with it when an individual leaves the institution.

Change all three highlighted areas to GROUP.
