Senior Vice President, Comcast Talent Acquisition
Michael is the Senior Vice President, Talent Acquisition for Comcast. In his role, he is responsible for developing and executing Comcast Cable’s talent acquisition strategy to further Comcast’s position as an industry leader and career destination for top talent in their respective fields. His team of Talent Acquisition professionals partner with and advise Comcast’s business leaders on talent attraction and acquisition.
Michael is passionate about creating an inclusive, high-performing organization that adds to the business’s overall performance. In addition to leading Talent Acquisition, Michael is responsible for Workforce Diversity and Inclusion. In this capacity, he is responsible for not only ensuring an inclusive hiring process but also for the effective delivery of diversity and inclusion programs including the education, engagement and development of Comcast Cable’s diverse talent base.
Michael joined Comcast in September 2015 from Walmart Global eCommerce where he was the Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. His 25 plus years of experience as a strategic business partner and leader spans several global companies in a variety of industries including technology, media, entertainment, ecommerce, financial services, healthcare and insurance.
Michael currently serves on the Board of Directors for Out and Equal, the world’s premier nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace equality.
Michael earned his MBA from Nova Southeastern University and his undergraduate from Western Kentucky University. He recently relocated to Philadelphia from the San Francisco Bay Area with his fiancé, Matthew.
Sulaiman W. Rahman,

Sulaiman W. Rahman has been a social entrepreneur and investor for over 16 years.
Sulaiman is the Founder & CEO of Urban Philly Professional Network (UPPN), which is a social entrepreneurship initiative started in 1999 (Formerly UrbanPhilly.com) with a mission to engage, empower, and connect the Greater Philadelphia area’s next generation of diverse civic and business leadership. UPPN currently consists of over 16,000 subscribers regionally, primarily professionals between the ages of 25-44. UPPN has been recognized as Philadelphia Business Journal’s #1 Business Networking Association in 2015.
Sulaiman is also an international business leader who launched a global marketing and distribution business in the gourmet coffee and tea industry. Launched in 2010, after just 5 years in business, his organization produced over $20 million in gross sales revenue. His leadership team recruited and trained thousands of independent distributors in 40 US states, and 9 different countries. He is now a lead business development trainer and speaker in the direct sales/relationship marketing industry, speaking on topics such as leadership, networking and entrepreneurship to audiences as large as 15,000 attendees.
Sulaiman has appeared on numerous TV, internet and broadcast radio talk shows, and has been featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal, Daily News, Inquirer, and Tribune. He has been honored with numerous awards recognizing him as an authority in business, social entrepreneurship and a thought leader. In 2015, Sulaiman has been recognized with NAACP Philadelphia Chapter’s “Business Award,” Bme’s Community Leadership Award & Grant, and recognized as Philadelphia Tribune’s “Most Influential African American Leaders” (also 2009-2011.) In 2010 was recognized as one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “40 under 40” and VisitPhilly 360 Creative Ambassadors. In 2009 as Urban League of Philadelphia “Urban Young Leader” and by Leadership Philadelphia as one of Philadelphia’s “101 Next Generation Connectors”. In 2008 he was selected as Philadelphia Tribune’s “10 People under 40 to Watch.”
Sulaiman current serves on several boards including Community College of Philadelphia Foundation, TeenSharp and serving as Co-Chair of Volunteer Committee for Democratic National Convention (DNC) Hosted in Philadelphia. He previously served as Chairman of the Board for the African American Chamber of Commerce of PA,DE,NJ from 2010-2012, and has served as a Board Member for numerous other organizations including Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC), Young Involved Philadelphia (YIP), and Philadelphia Film Society. He is also a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. - Initiated at University of Pennsylvania’s Mu Chapter.
Sulaiman attended the University of Pennsylvania where he pursued his Bachelor of Arts and Science (BAS) in Engineering and Entrepreneurship.
