Moving from Diversity to Inclusion: One Career Center's Journey

Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 | 12:00 - 1:00 PM EST

How well are you serving ALL of your students? The NACE Professional Standards hold us accountable for ensuring access, diversity and equity in our staffing, programs, services, facilities, technology, policies and procedures. Over the last year, George Mason University Career Services completed an audit and has begun implementing recommendations for creating a more inclusive office that more fully addresses the unique career-related needs of students from various identity groups, particularly students of color, international students, students with disabilities, undocumented students and LGBTQ students.

During this session, you will learn what evaluation tool they used, how the entire office of 20 got involved and the positive outcomes that were achieved both in service to students and the professional development of the staff. From this webinar, you will take away a list of low effort, high impact changes you can act on immediately at your institution.
