Pre-Conference Information

Brown University, EACE and CPP invite you to our June 17, 2008 workshop "Taking Career Counseling to the Next Level – Career Development Combining the Myers-Briggs® and Strong Assessments”*. Provide your students and clients with a complete career development picture based on a combined interpretation of their interests and personality. Workshop topics will include:

  • Overview on the individual assessments
  • Research that ties the MBTI® and Strong instruments together
  • Case studies - when everything fits, when nothing fits, and everything in-between
  • Hands-on activities combining the instruments
  • Review of selected MBTI and Strong reports
  • Combining interests and personality for work-life-balance

The 6-hour workshop is facilitated by Catherine Holmes, M.S., CPP Education Consultant, a former director of university career services and an assessment trainer with 20 years experience in career counseling and program development. The workshop is designed for career counselors and academic advisors who support college and high school students, as well as all practitioners who help clients with career decisions. This program has been approved for National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) CEUs.
