Understanding Today’s Economy for
Tomorrow’s Students
Sunday, August 6 from 2 to 4pm, Cost: $40.00
The world has changed; the global integration of the economy has changed
labor requirements around the world. Today’s and tomorrow’s
jobs can be best described as disposable. Even with a robust college labor
market, we will not see the “good old days.” This workshop
will cover current forces shaping the economy and look ahead to further
changes down the road, then will turn to what employer expectations will
be in terms of skills and competencies of the new employees they will
hire. Finally we will look at the good, bad and ugly aspects of the students
that we see and soon will see in theclassroom. Ample time for discussion.
