Start off your conference on a straight and steady course! This year’s
conference will be launched Sunday night at the Anchors Aweigh Opening
Extravaganza where you’ll get to know all the fabulous folks who
had a hand in leading EACE this year! Following the welcome presentation,
we’ll have our own progressive dinner of sorts to keep us movin’
and shakin’ all around the room while we listen to music from all
eras. After dinner will come an assortment of card and board games so
bring your poker face! Catch-up with some old friends and make new ones
at what promises to be a fabulous kick-off. The welcome begins at 5:30
PM.

OPTION ONE
Ambience, Art, Appetizers!
Join Norfolk Southern, our Admiral Sponsor, for a night of art, appetizers
and ambience at the delightful Chrysler Museum of Art. Located near downtown
Norfolk and overlooking the Hague Inlet of the Elizabeth River, the Chrysler
boasts 60 galleries containing over 30,000 objects. Mingle, meet and dine
with your fellow conference attendees while listening to live music in
the dramatic Huber Court with its marble floors and vaulted glass ceilings.
Take a stroll through the Memorial Garden, view the legendary glass artistry
on display in the Tiffany gallery, or tour the rest of the renowned collection
of paintings, sculptures and photographs.
The museum is a short bus ride from the hotel. Busses will run to and
from the event all evening from 5:30 to 10:00 PM so you can come and go
at your convenience.
This event is made possible through the generosity of Norfolk Southern.
This seems only fitting since Norfolk Southern was named, in 2005, as
one of the top ten companies supporting the arts in America by the Business
Committee for the Arts and Forbes magazine. Norfolk Southern, the fourth-largest
railroad in the country, operates over 21,000 miles of train routes in
22 states and serves all major eastern ports. Norfolk Southern is a dedicated
employer and member of the Norfolk community. From the benefits they offer
their employees to their commitment to workplace diversity, it’s
easy to see why over 30,000 employees are all aboard with Norfolk Southern!

night a diverse array of street performers from bands to jugglers to magicians
