President-Elect
Duties:

  • Shall perform all duties of the President in the absence, disability of or at the request of the President and shall serve as President for the remainder of the term should the President's office becomes vacant.
  • Review the strategic plan, focusing on strategies, goals and objectives in the fall.
  • Shall chair By-Laws and Policy Manual Committee, providing annual review of both documents.
      • Present suggested amendments to the by-laws for Board approval. Once approved by the Board and reviewed by EACE attorney, coordinate membership-voting process. Once membership approves amendments, work with EACE Headquarters to post updated by-laws to EACE web site.
      • Present suggested changes to the Policy Manual for Board approval. Coordinate with EACE Headquarters posting of changes on the EACE web site and EACE Libraries.
  • Shall, with the approval of the Board of Directors, attend Regional Associations Presidents Council meetings at the expense of the Association.
  • In collaboration with Director, Leadership Development, organize Leadership Training for incoming chairs and new Board members.
  • Shall select committee chairs for the following year, taking into consideration recommendations from Board members, committee chairs, and those on the board ballot who were not elected, to encourage continued involvement and leadership opportunities.
  • Perform such duties as assigned by the President and the Board of Directors.

Director, Employer Member Services
Duties:

  • Constituency based board position.
  • Must be an employer member.
  • Liaison to Road Trips to the Real World Committee.
  • Work closely with the Director of Membership Recruitment and Retention, the Director of Professional Development, and the Director of Leadership Development to ensure employer voice and involvement in professional development, membership, leadership development, communications, technology, and broad service planning for that constituency.
  • Work with the Director, College Member Services on issues related to employer members on the Consulting Committee.
  • Works with Director, College Member Services on Networking Events.
  • Perform such duties as assigned by the President and the Board of Directors.

Director, Membership Recruitment and Retention
Duties:

  • Broad responsibilities for membership recruitment, retention and development.
  • Works closely with the Director, Employer Member Services and the Director, College Member Services to ensure appropriate services for their respective membership constituencies.
  • Oversees membership-marketing initiatives.
  • Oversees member retention initiatives – seeking to encourage involvement in the association.
  • Liaison to Diversity Advancement Committee.
  • Liaison to Membership Committee.
  • Perform such duties as assigned by the President and the Board of Directors.

Director, Professional Development
Duties:

  • Shall provide coordination and leadership for all Association professional development activities, including but not limited to workshops and other programs.
  • Shall serve as liaison to Professional Development and Professional Exchange Committees.
  • Investigate technology that will enhance professional development programming.
  • Conduct membership surveys to identify new programs needs.
  • Benchmark against other professional associations.
  • Network with leadership from other professional associations for collaborative programming.
  • Shall promote professional, ethical and legal standards.
  • Perform such duties as assigned by the President and the Board of Directors.

Director, Technology and Information Management
Duties:

  • Shall serve as the liaison to the Technology Resources Committee.
  • Analyze the availability and promote the optimal use of technology for Association activities.
  • Creatively enhance the integration of technology with the acquisition and distribution of information important to EACE members.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with appropriate board members and committee chairs to develop, enhance, and facilitate a sense of association community using technological applications.
