THE EACE AWARD FOR MULTICULTURAL INNOVATION

PURPOSE
This award recognizes EACE members deemed to have made outstanding contributions to the field of minority affairs and special populations.

EACE VALUES
Nominations for this award should demonstrate a commitment to the following EACE values:

  • Excellence - EACE values excellence as the primary measure for our products and services and strives to exceed members' expectations.
  • Innovation – EACE values creativity and the implementation of cutting edge concepts and services to members.
  • Learning – EACE values personal and professional growth and development through opportunities for continuous learning.
  • Diversity – EACE values and encourages different points of view and recognizes strength in diversity.

EACE COMPETENCIES
Nominations for this award should demonstrate the following EACE competencies:

  • Assessment -- accurately evaluating situations; identifying needs, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Implementation -- executing plans and projects; “making things happen.”
  • Collaboration -- working with others across functional lines; utilizing an egalitarian “give and take” approach.
  • Impact and Influence -- persuading, convincing or influencing others to gain support for a particular idea or course of action.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Entries must be typed, double-spaced descriptive text not to exceed 5 pages in length.
  2. An appendix containing charts, graphs, tables or illustrations may be added.
  3. A separate page must accompany each entry, which is a typed, double-spaced abstract of the proposal. This abstract should not exceed 200 words.
  4. Entrants must not make any reference within the text of their entry or within the abstract, to the names of the authors and/or individuals involved or their organizational affiliation to ensure an impartial evaluation of all entries. If identification is made within the text of the abstract, the entry will have to be automatically disqualified.
  5. A separate identification page should be included, giving the title of the proposal, the name of the author, affiliation/organization, and address.
  6. Nomination form may be submitted online or via mail, fax, or e-mail. Supporting materials (one copy of the text of the entry, one copy of the abstract, identification page) may be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed NO LATER THAN MARCH 1, 2008 to:

All award winners will be recognized at the Annual EACE Conference in June.
