EACE 2018-2018 Board of Directors Elections

Director, Membership Recruitment & Retention Candidate

Jeffrey Alston
Assistant Director of Employer Relations, The College at Brockport

1. Describe your interest in serving on the EACE Board in this capacity.

I am interested in serving on the EACE Board in the capacity of Director, Membership Recruitment & Retention because I want to ensure members are receiving value for their membership.  In a time where funding choices are being scrutinized, its’ important our members continue to see the benefit of being members of EACE.  Advancing the needs of our membership is pivotal in the growth of EACE.

The overlap of diversity, equity, and inclusion within this board position is of keen interest.  Understanding the role of diversity, equity, and inclusion as it pertains to the students we work with translates to membership within professional associations.  Within professional associations such as EACE, listening and advocating on behalf of our membership to meet their needs and expectations characterizes the type of servant leader I aspire to be.
